For two years, I planned to try drawing a death's head on my face. I was inspired by Rick Genest, also known as the "Zombie Boy". However, I didn't realise this idea for some reasons: Firstly, it seems too complicate to make dramatic shades and create it authenticly. Secondly, and this is more important, I didn't want to make such a photo just for fun. In the last year I was very busy due to my studies. Sometimes, I felt like losing my creativity and therefore, I didn't take a lot of photos. Now, I thought it was the right moment to realise the work as a symbol of the "Death of Creativity" - and of its resurrection.
I love the darkness of this piece. It's so powerful and contrasts beautifully with the pale white glow of her skin. The make-up here is fantastic. It's very crisp and even and is just so fitting. great work!
